Tomorrow we put the farm stand out.
I’ve said over and over again, “the farmstand is going out soon”, but tonight it’s real.
I’m honestly so nervous.
This has been in the works for over a year. It started as an idea that I kept talking about, and slowly, little by little, it became an actual thing. We’ve worked on the stand, talked about what I wanted to sell. What started as just a flower stand to sell excess flowers turned into an official farmstand full of homemade goods too.
And now we are ready to go.
I am so excited but I’m also terrified.
Now I have to put it out there and see if anyone actually cares.
What if nobody comes?
I keep thinking about that.
What if we put everything out tomorrow morning and then not a single person stops?
I know it’s a possibility. It’s something new. I know it takes time and people have to find out about it and get used to seeing it there.
But that doesn’t stop that little voice in the back of my head from saying, What if no one comes?
And that’s just the beginning of the spiraling.
How long until someone steals something?
What if something gets ruined in the heat?
What if the flowers wilt right away? (Throwback to last year and my pathetic table of flowers that blew over, and all of the flowers died on the table while everyone drove past and saw them laying there)
What if something melts or gets damaged sitting outside?
What if I price something wrong?
What if I put too much out and nobody buys it?
What if I spent all of this time, effort, and money to fail?
What if everyone online is getting sick of seeing me post about flowers and a farmstand dream?
I have thought through every possible way tomorrow could go wrong.
I think this little idea turning into reality and the possibility for something bigger has been weighing on me for a while now.
It’s easy to work on something when nobody can see it yet. You can adjust and pivot, and keep putting it off.
Tomorrow though, I am putting myself out there to see what happens.
I have no idea what tomorrow is going to look like. I’m hoping for the best, and trying to prepare for the worst. Here’s to the beginning of a new adventure!
