Baked Ziti: Freezer Friendly Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ziti pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 24 oz marinara
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Cook pasta. Brown meat; add sauce.
  2. Mix pasta with sauce.
  3. Pour into 9×13 dish, top with cheese.
  4. Bake on 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  5. Broil 3-5 minutes or until cheese becomes golden brown. *monitor carefully as it can burn quickly!*

To Freeze

  • Freeze unbaked or baked in an aluminum pan
  • Allow to cool completely before covering with plastic wrap or foil lid
  • Add 1/2 to 1 cup of extra sauce before freezing to prevent dryness.
