Homemade “Cream of” Soup Mix

This mix can be used in place of the typical “cream of” cans of soup from the grocery store. Feel free to add mushrooms, broccoli, chicken, cheese, etc. after to cater to your recipe. I personally just like using a little bit of this to help thicken things up when I’m cooking.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole milk powder
  • 3/4 cup of cornstarch or arrowroot powder
  • 1/4 cup homemade chicken bouillon powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients
  2. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place
  3. TO USE: combine equal parts mix and warm water or milk. Heat on low until desired thickness.
