Spring always feels like a fresh start. The days are getting longer, the air is warmer, and everything is starting to bloom. After months of cold and being cooped up inside, it’s a relief to step outside and breathe in the new season.
This time of year makes me want to slow down and just soak it all in—especially as a mom. It’s so easy to get caught up in the busyness of life, rushing from one thing to the next, always thinking about the next task on the list. But when I watch my little one explore outside—picking up rocks, smelling flowers, and finding pure joy in the simplest things—I’m reminded to pause and be present.
Kids have a way of showing us what really matters. They don’t worry about schedules or productivity; they just live in the moment. And honestly, that’s something I want to do more of. Instead of worrying about all the things I “should” be doing, I want to embrace this season for what it is—an opportunity to be outside, to play, to rest, and to enjoy the little moments that make motherhood so special.
So, this spring, I’m focusing on slowing down. Less rushing, more noticing. Less worrying, more enjoying. Whether it’s sitting in the sunshine with an iced coffee, planting a garden with my toddler, or just saying yes to one more chapter from my book at bedtime—I want to be present for it all.
Here’s to a season of fresh air, simple joys, and embracing the beauty of motherhood—without the rush.
What are your goals this season? I’d love to hear them below!
